Ryder's Amazing Tour

Ryder_Tourmalet

Yesjesdal! The Weight of a Nation, Ryde of a Lifetime... Whatever you want to call it, this is Ryder Hesjedal's time to shine. Canada's only Tour de France participant has proven to the world that he is a Grand Tour contender. But, those of us who have known him for the past several years have known this all along. I was not happy to see Ryder's fellow teammate and team leader Christian Vande Velde withdraw from the Tour de France after crashing and breaking several bones in stage 2, but I immediately knew that Ryder would be unleashed to show what he is capable of. Since the cobble stone riddled stage 3 where Ryder put his off-roading skills to work he has been playing in the top 10 overall placings.

FWPT at Western States 100

Squaw Valley
I have been to many ultra marathon races, but this was my first time participating at a 100 miler. Along with 4 others, I was crewing for my friend Justin Angle at the Western States 100. This is a brutal course that travels from Squaw Valley to Auburn, CA. It travels over mountains and across rivers for a total of 18,000 feet of climbing and 22,000 feet of descending. With 5 crew members, Justin had a large support staff which should have made for a perfect day.

2nd Place Ironman Arizona by Linsey Corbin - Bike Fit by FootWorks!

Corbin_IMAZ
Linsey Corbin had an amazing race at the 2009 Ironman Arizona. She was second only to Sam McGlone, and she had a whopping bike PR split of 5:05:07. That includes a pesky 4 minute penalty too! Linsey came to FootWorks to get her bike re-fit following her Kona experience in October. Things obviously came together for her.

Congrats Linsey, here's to Kona 2010!
